Many seniors in nursing homes, hospices and assisted living facilities are not allowed to have any visitors due to the coronavirus pandemic. Most have not seen their families in almost two months! To help them feel less lonely, we are asking our students to help us create uplifting homemade cards and letters that we can safely deliver to these homes with the help of the organization “Love for the Elderly”. *You can address your well-wishing card simply to your “friend” or “someone special”, etc. and sign your card using your first name only.
If you are able to participate, please make a card or two (or three, or four!) and ask your parents to drop them off in the plastic bin outside of the Parish Center at St. Lawrence. The bin will be labeled, “Cards for the Elderly”. We will be collecting cards in the bin through May 18th. Thank you so much for considering this important ministry!!
